My idea of the Hosts should NOT be considered an accurate reflection of people with these things, but more parody.

Also some of the stuff in his backstory stem from more jokes I ended up fixating over, and then other parts is me over analyzing The Hosts' character and how I portray her. Again this is just my interpretation of the critter and should not be confused for canon.A lot that's on here may require slight information about whats happening on Tumblr, if you want a really really basic rundown, dm me and I can probably give something.

The Hosts

Background

Jeremy was born in somewhere England, and when they were around 3 they ended up moving to somewhere US. Couple years later (~age of 8) his parents got divorced, split custody. His mother was- a little bit of a drunk, and very neglectful. His father- worse. (Gods just imagine that pair together 😨)While they were exiting high school, entering collage (entering for study of radio waves and mechanics), he had a little bit of a- fuck boy era. Not gonna lie lmao. (The want to be loved got him and also the lack of romantic interest kinda getting to him /silly). Yeah that didn’t really last long. They also got a wife at one point ~18 or 19, but it only lasted a year. He ended up getting his degrees and leaving, signing up for Urbanshade.He worked at Urbanshade for a good 7 years, building things for Urbanshade, one of his primary works is with Z-444, or Harvey. Which was more of towards the end of his career. He had a uh- fling couple years prior with a fellow scientist, Dr. Isaac Vitri. And while in his works with Z-444, he had a apprentice, pretty much, Luka [REDACTED], or current day HQ. They worked together for a good chunk of it and a good chuck of that good chunk they had their own little fling, which ended a week before Jeremy’s disappearance.

Curiosity Kill The Cat

Jeremy seemed to grow increasingly paranoid a couple of months before his disappearance, was caught seemingly talking to another being that wasn’t ever there, and reported hearing things that weren’t there at all, such as a woman that would talk to him, telling him to go to a nearby under construction part of the blacksite. Eventually, he gave in.He went down to the currently known outskirts, and got his dumbass stuck. Well more accurately the exit was completely removed, he’s still a dumbass though.Eventually, the entity that has been speaking to him appeared in front of him (or more of moved them to it)], offering him anomalous properties. He, of course, agreed, and was sent back to the outskirts. And off to trying to find an exit he goes.Which he did, thank god. And he returned to the rest of Urbanshade.
They tried telling them about his findings, what he saw while down there, and her. He also may have mentioned his new anomalous traits, and Urbanshade decided they were now wanting to test on him, to learn more about the new traits. Jeremy said fuck that, and went back to the outskirts.

The Show

Back at the outskirts, the people he knew now thinks he’s dead, and honestly he borderline is.
He’s dying of starvation, dehydration, and while fucking around with his new powers, blood loss! (every time he’d use his abilities he’d either get really bad nose bleeds or start vomiting blood. The latter becoming more common as time went on).
He’s also not alone down there. There are creatures down there, figures the entity would make. Jeremy was now apart of an entertainment scheme.On top of all this his dumbass was being hunted by Urbanshade. They still want to test on him, and is NOT happy about her disappearing like that. Eventually Urbanshade does give up, but now he was stuck with the entity that would toy with him for her own entertainment.They start using their abilities more frequently to plan and start up their ‘show’, they’re body decaying more and more while they were still alive the more they use their powers. Eventually her body just- died. Choking on their own blood.They pulled out a pseudo body they had stored, appearing in their ‘office’, horrified. A rumble of voices slowly filled the room, all his feelings, his thoughts, their conscious being played for all who was in to hear.Took them a while to adjust to this- lack of body thing, but eventually they went back to their planning, forming a show the entity they’ve dubbed ‘the audience’ to enjoy.7 years later, the Hadal blacksite suffered a breach, and Urbanshade started sending down the perfect candidates for his show. Collecting Rebarb, Pipsqueak, and Crooked (or Sherman for tumblr users /silly), but now there were MR-Ps running around, and the Audience seemed to really enjoy seeing them suffer. So, he’d collect them for his show. He’s now accepted the full persona of ‘The Hosts’.

Current Day

Now, as the hosts, he’s thriving… almost. He has people that fear him, he has people that respect him. He has his show! He has the powers of a god at his finger tips.But he also now has Harvey. He’d recognize his previous project, he was hesitant about letting him be apart of the show, however the Audience loved watching him. They wanted to watch him more. So, he pulled the poison card. He’d poison Harvey and claim to have a ‘cure’, and is willing to share said medicine… but with a catch. He’d join the show, and they’d medicate him. That was ALL it was supposed to be, that was ALL Hosts wanted. But Harvey seemed to have gotten- attached. And this has affected them too.
Yeah, so, bro’s going through a lot of denial about their care for Harvey, he’s fucking tweaking your honor, he has yet to know about Sherman’s plans to kill himself (though the moment he does they’re going to offer to help khs because fuck Sherman I guess 😭)And yeah. Hosts lore.
